Dan Electro's Guitar Bar

Venture out to the north side of the Heights for a night of live music at Dan Electro’s Guitar Bar. Seemingly 70s in appearance, this dive bar has been an anchor for local music for decades.

Stroll through the door to discover the bar on your left stocked with an assortment of beers (many of them local) and wine, but the liquor will be lacking. Dan Electro’s endorses a BYOL (bring your own liquor) policy and they’ll provide the set-up, which makes them just about the cheapest place for bottle service in town.

The intimate arrangement of tables makes you feel as if you are at your own private concert with the latest up-and-coming band. Bring your earplugs if you want to grab a seat directly in front of the stage, but don’t let that scare you from enjoying some tunes. The spacious patio behind the bar provides an escape from the thumping bass.

Come one night to revel in some old-school blues and the next for a punk-rock garage-band playing their first gig; it’s never the same thing twice.

The grill serves up food till 1 am.
