Situated in the heart of The Houstonian’s 18 lushly-landscaped acres sits The Manor House—a historic, John Staub-designed home that serves as a premier dining venue for the hotel.

Built in 1955 for Texas oilman, Lawrence Reed, The Manor House went on to serve as the Presidential Suite in 1982, hosting Jack Nicholson, the King of Spain, world dignitaries and George H. W. Bush, while Director of the CIA and Vice President of the United States.

Today, in its dining capacity, The Manor House welcomes patrons for Texas fine dining cuisine infused with creole and Gulf Coast touches. The seafood gumbo, shrimp étouff èe and Texas jumbo lump crab cake with pickled okra petit salad are all among the favorites.

The Manor House at The Houstonian is open for lunch Monday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. It is also available for private events and corporate functions during evening and weekday hours.
