Hugs & Donuts

You may just want to hug the creators behind the gourmet donut establishment Hugs & Donuts. Matt Opaleski and Jason Hill are sweetening the pastry game in Houston with unique donut flavors like Crème Brulee, Lemon Meringue Pie and Devils Food Cake (topped with chocolate glaze and pretzels). On the savory side, the kolaches are just as tempting with delicious fillings like Boudin, Houston’s own Gatlin’s BBQ Brisket and spinach and artichoke.

New creations pop up regularly so it’s never a bad idea to stop by often. Tucked in the historic Heights neighborhood, there are plenty of scenic trails in the area to walk off the extra donut you know you’ll have.
