Barnaby's Cafe - Downtown

Barnaby’s has been a staple in Montrose and River Oaks for years, serving huge portions of favorites such as Danish baby-back ribs, Coronado chicken and Petaluma salad. The funky diner staked its claim to a Downtown spot in fall 2012, opening its sixth location on Market Square.

The narrow restaurant across from Market Square Park offers the full menu you find at the other Barnaby’s locations, and is open 11am to 3pm Monday through Thursday, and 11am-11pm Friday and Saturday. Barnaby’s, named for its founder’s sheepdog which graces much of the décor, is popular for its varied menu, which includes an assortment of burgers (we recommend the spinach and feta), Tex-Mex favorites and guilt-ridden desserts (the carrot cake and chocolate addiction must be shared to avoid a sugar coma).
